Looking for an Online 11 Plus Summer Course in Stoneleigh?
11 Plus Tutoring runs a summer booster programme every August to help Year 5 pupils in Stoneleigh prepare for the Sutton Selective Eligibility Test (SET) in September. The SET is the first exam for five well-known grammar schools in the London Borough of Sutton: Wilson’s School, Wallington High School for Girls, Wallington County Grammar School, Nonsuch High School for Girls, and Sutton Grammar School. Stoneleigh falls within the KT17 and KT19 postcodes, which are part of the London Borough of Epsom and Ewell.
The final weeks of the summer holidays play a crucial role in 11 Plus preparation. Free from the demands of school, Year 5 pupils can concentrate on targeted revision, realistic exam practice, and building the accuracy and confidence required for success in the September assessments.

Greater exam confidence
Frequent mock papers reduce anxiety and help children approach the exam with a calm, confident mindset.

Stoneleigh Student Prepared for Two Grammar School Stage Tests in One Summer
A student from Stoneleigh, in Year 5, enrolled in the summer booster course upon learning that the Sutton Consortium process required both the SET first-stage test in September and a subsequent second-stage entrance examination. Initially, this two-step process appeared overwhelming. The course clarified the requirements of each stage and facilitated the development of the student's Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning skills through weekly mock sessions. Additionally, the programme supported sustained focus during multiple consecutive timed papers. By late August, the student had completed several full mock examinations under conditions closely resembling the actual SET. Consequently, by September, the student reported feeling significantly more informed, composed, and prepared.

Why the 11 Plus Summer Booster Course Matters for Stoneleigh Families
The SET is the first-stage eligibility test for all five Sutton Consortium schools. Passing the SET allows a child to sit the second stage entrance exams at their chosen schools.
Nonsuch High School for Girls has a Published Admission Number of 210 for Year 7. Admission involves two stages: the SET and the Nonsuch and Wallington Second Stage Entrance Examination (NWSSEE). Candidates must pass both parts of the NWSSEE to be considered. Total scores are ranked and the school’s selection criteria are applied if applications exceed places.
Passing the SET does not guarantee a place at any Sutton Consortium grammar school. Success in the SET makes a child eligible for the second stage entrance exams at Sutton Grammar School, Wallington County Grammar School, Wallington High School for Girls, Nonsuch, and Wilson’s School. Final places are allocated based on each school’s admissions and oversubscription criteria.
Stoneleigh families must submit their Common Application Form through Surrey County Council, not the London Borough of Sutton, as the CAF must be submitted to the home local authority. The national CAF deadline is 31st October 2026. Focusing on all four tested subjects in August gives Stoneleigh children a strong foundation for the September SET.
