Looking for an Online 11 Plus Summer Course in Ewell?
11 Plus Tutoring provides this August course for students throughout Ewell, West Ewell and the surrounding KT17 and KT19 postcode areas. Because the SET assesses English and Maths rather than traditional Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, and the Tiffin process has its own distinct format, families in Ewell need preparation that genuinely reflects their target exam rather than generic 11 Plus content. This course is structured with that specificity in mind. Ewell sits at the heart of one of Surrey’s most competitive 11 Plus areas. Families here have access to some of the highest-achieving selective schools in the country, including Nonsuch High School for Girls, Sutton Grammar School, Wilson’s School, Wallington County Grammar School, Wallington High School for Girls, and, for families willing to enter the Kingston process, Tiffin School and The Tiffin Girls’ School. All of these schools require children to demonstrate strong academic ability under exam conditions, making structured summer preparation an essential part of the journey.
By August, primary school is finished, and children have both the time and mental space to consolidate their preparation, close remaining gaps, and build the consistent speed and accuracy that these competitive exams demand, before sitting the SET in September.

How a Year 5 Ewell Student Raised Their Performance Through Summer Mock Practice
One of our Year 5 students from Ewell entered the summer booster with a good academic foundation but lacked confidence when tackling timed SET-style papers. By combining realistic mock exams, targeted reasoning exercises, and personalised feedback, our tutors helped the student improve accuracy, manage time more effectively, and develop a calm, structured approach to the exam. By the final week, they were completing full papers with confidence and consistency.

Why the 11 Plus Summer Booster Matters for Ewell Families
The Sutton Selective Eligibility Test (SET) takes place on 15 September 2026 for September 2027 entry. Registration closes at midnight on 31 July 2026; families must register via the consortium portal by this date. Children who continue with structured practice across August are far better placed to manage the exam’s time constraints. (Source: Wilson’s School admissions.)
Nonsuch High School for Girls, located on the edge of Nonsuch Park in Cheam, is one of the most popular and oversubscribed grammar schools in Surrey. Our entrance test is broadly based on the KS2 curriculum, and we do not consider it necessary for children to be tutored to gain access to the entrance test. We never allow 11+ tutoring companies in our schools.
The Sutton SET consists of two timed papers assessing English and Maths, each lasting approximately 40 to 50 minutes, with a short break between them. The test does not include verbal or non-verbal reasoning papers, but strong all-round exam technique and speed in writing are critical.
According to Sutton Grammar School admission, Wilson’s School, Sutton Grammar School and Wallington County Grammar School all hold a joint Stage 2 examination on Saturday 3 October 2026. Passing SET Stage 1 alone does not guarantee a place at any of these schools; each applies its own admissions criteria independently.
Tiffin School is an academy and its own admissions authority, meaning it runs its own selection process. For Year 7 entry (September 2026), the Published Admission Number is 180, and applications must be submitted through the Home Local Authority under the Pan-London Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme.
