Why Families in Brighouse Seek the 11 Plus Summer Booster Course
Better Time Management
Many children find it difficult to finish all the FSCE papers on time. Our practice sessions help them work more quickly and accurately.
Creative Writing Support
Creative Writing is an important part of the exam, but pupils do not often practise it at school. We help students write stronger stories under timed conditions.
Understanding the Exam
The FSCE papers used by North Halifax Grammar School and The Crossley Heath School follow a specific format. We help children become familiar with the exam style.
Extra Help Before September
By the summer holidays, many families feel that revision books alone are not enough. Tutor support and regular guidance help students make better progress.
Building Confidence
Timed mock exams help children become used to exam conditions, making them feel calmer and more confident on the real test day.
Staying Focused During Summer
Regular lessons and practice keep children engaged throughout August and help them retain the skills they learned during Year 5.

How a Year 5 Brighouse Student Turned Weak Creative Writing Into a Confident Exam Performance
Creative Writing worried a Year 5 student from Brighouse. In her early FSCE practice papers, she took too long to plan her story, which led her to rush her final paragraphs. After joining our online August booster course, she practised with weekly timed FSCE mock papers, helping her create a simple writing plan. Her stories improved with clearer ideas, stronger introductions, and more confident endings. By the end of August, she had finished all three FSCE papers on time. As September started, she felt calm and ready to do her best at North Halifax Grammar School.
