Year 6 SATs assess students in:

- English Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar (SPaG)
Maths (including arithmetic and reasoning)
- Reading: 60 minutes
- Grammar and Punctuation: 45 minutes
- Spelling: about 15 minutes
- Maths Arithmetic: 30 minutes
- Maths Reasoning Papers 1 and 2: 40 minutes each
KS2 SATs results show how well a child is doing in school. Secondary schools use these scores to help place students in the right classes for Year 7.
