2027 Entry Note
Designed for Year 5 pupils seeking a grammar school place for September 2027, the course is suitable for children born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016. Testing for the West Midlands Grammar Schools consortium is scheduled across 12 and 13 September 2026. Candidates will receive either a morning or afternoon appointment, and parents are advised not to make other plans for that day. Registration, according to Warwickshire County Council, runs from Tuesday 7 May until 30 June 2026 through the consortium’s official online portal. Families can expect results on Friday 16 October 2026, followed by the CAF submission deadline on Saturday 31 October 2026.Searching for an Online 11 Plus Summer Course in Studley?
Studley sits in the southern corner of Warwickshire, within easy reach of two of the county’s most sought-after grammar school clusters: the Stratford-upon-Avon schools, such as King Edward VI School and Stratford Girls’ Grammar School, and Alcester Grammar School. Children from Studley and the surrounding B80 postcode villages enter the West Midlands Grammar Schools Entrance Test, a shared GL Assessment.
Because the September test date is fixed and non-negotiable, August is the single most productive preparation window available to Year 5 children in Studley. Primary school is complete, timetables are clear, and children have both the time and energy to sharpen their skills, practise full-length papers under timed conditions, plug remaining gaps, and arrive in September feeling genuinely ready. Our course is designed to make every one of those August weeks count.

Why Studley Families Look for the 11 Plus Summer Booster Course
Most families in Studley opt for an 11 Plus summer booster course as the September exam approaches, preferring a more structured, guided approach in August rather than relying solely on independent revision. Typical reasons include:
Full-paper practice gap
Children who understand the material well often discover they struggle to complete the test within the time limit — our timed mock sessions address this directly.
Stamina and speed
The GL Assessment consists of two papers, each approximately one hour long, sat on the same day. Building the endurance to perform at full capacity throughout both papers takes structured practice.
Reasoning skills
Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning are rarely part of the primary school curriculum. Focused coaching in these areas in the final weeks before September makes a measurable difference.
Breaking the self-study ceiling
After months of independent preparation at home, many children hit a plateau. Expert tutor guidance and honest feedback unlock the next stage of progress.
Exam-day composure
Repeated experience of timed mock conditions reduces anxiety and helps children manage pressure on the day of the real test.
A structured August
Rather than leaving revision to chance over the holidays, families value a reliable weekly schedule that keeps children engaged and progressing consistently.
Students We Commonly Support for the 11 Plus in Studley
Our course attracts children from Studley village itself and the surrounding South Warwickshire communities, including Mappleborough Green, Coughton, Sambourne, Astwood Bank and Redditch, covering the B80, B49 and B96 postcode zones. Many attend local primary schools such as Studley St Mary’s CofE Academy (New Road, B80 7ND), St Mary’s Catholic Primary School (Pool Road, B80 7QU) and Studley Infants’ School (High Street, B80 7HJ — verified via Warwickshire County Council’s school finder). These children are working towards Year 7 grammar school places for September 2027, with Alcester Grammar School, King Edward VI School and Stratford Girls’ Grammar School among the most common targets.

How Regular Mock Papers Helped a Studley Student Improve
A student from Studley needed a strong base in Maths and English but limited exposure to timed Verbal Reasoning practice. Over four weeks of structured sessions, her speed and accuracy in reasoning questions improved significantly, and she became much more comfortable working under exam conditions. By the final week, she was approaching full GL-style mock papers with a clear and organised strategy, reading questions more efficiently, managing time effectively across sections, and showing steady confidence as the test date approached rather than feeling anxious.

For Stratford Girls’ Grammar School, the Governors have set the Published Admission Number (PAN) for Year 7 at 120 for entry in 2027, in accordance with the Admissions Code (2014). Although applications may be considered up to this limit during the normal admissions round, there is no guarantee that a place will be offered, as admission depends on meeting the required criteria and overall oversubscription levels for that year.
Consisting of two GL Assessment papers, the West Midlands Grammar Schools Entrance Test is structured so that each paper lasts approximately one hour. The assessment includes English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal Reasoning, all delivered in a multiple-choice format. In terms of weighting, English and Verbal Reasoning together account for 50% of the overall score, while Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning contribute 25% each.
King Edward VI School operates as a single-sex grammar school for boys, with admission to Year 7 determined by performance in the Entrance Test (commonly known as the 11+ or selection test) together with the school’s published oversubscription rules. For the 2027 entry year, the Governors have set the Published Admission Number (PAN) at 87, in accordance with the Admissions Code (2014).
There is no guarantee that a place will be available. However, places up to the Published Admission Number (PAN) will be allocated during the first round of offers on 1 March 2027 to children who meet the required academic and eligibility criteria.
