Why the 11 Plus Summer Booster Matters for Crayford Families
Bexley Grammar School is a highly sought-after selective academy in Welling. Qualifying through the local Bexley selection framework is only the first stage of the process, as places are subsequently allocated according to strict distance, catchment, and oversubscription criteria.
Dartford Grammar School for Girls, situated just over the Kent border, admits selective pupils each year through the Kent PESE exam from across the Crayford, DA1, and DA14 areas. This path requires specialized preparation to meet the higher score thresholds set for out-of-county applicants.
According to the London Borough of Bexley and Kent County Council admissions criteria, achieving a passing mark is simply the initial filter. Because selective school spaces are highly competitive across the borough borders, strong placement scores are essential to secure a spot.
For many families in Crayford or nearby areas such as Crook Log, Crossness and East Wickham, the 11 Plus summer course helps bridge the gap between preparation and exam day by improving timing, confidence, and full-paper exam technique before September.
